A Message from Ricky D. Michel, Activities Director
Pony Head

Dear Pony Families,

It is with a great deal of regret and sadness that I inform you that Spring Sports will be cancelled for the remainder of the school year. As a member school of the MSHSL (Minnesota State High School League), we are aligned together to put student safety at the forefront and comply with the directives given by our Governor.

We feel badly for all of our athletes, especially our Senior class of 2020. The experiences and opportunities will be missed by so many out on the fields, in the pool, and around stadiums. There aren't enough words to express our sorrow. I feel this important part of education and growth is an empty pail for the SAHS's Spring of 2020.

Stillwater Area High School's staff, coaches, school and district administration, and school board members share this pain, empathize with what you are feeling, and have all of you in our thoughts.

Unfortunately, this is a frustrating period for all of us. My hope is that your family has grown together and used each other as a support during this extremely difficult time. As a community, not being able to come out and watch the Ponies, takes away the joys of watching our youth play, celebrate, mature, and face challenges.
