The Stillwater Area High School Music Department is holding its annual rummage sale on Saturday, September 23 from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.. The event will be held at the Washington County Fairgrounds (Buildings C and D) in Lake Elmo. The sale is open to the public with a $3 entrance fee for adults. Children under 18 are free.

Organizers are looking for clean, gently used donations for the sale: clothing, books, linens, kitchen items, sporting goods, toys, etc. They will also accept items for recycling: used handheld devices (cell phones, iPads/iPods) ink cartridges (no toner cartridges), and clothing, sheets and towels not fit for resale. Bring your donations to Buildings C and D at the fairgrounds on Sunday, September 17 from 1 - 5 p.m. The music department is not able to accept donations of large furniture, televisions, electronics/computers, large appliances, large exercise equipment, helmets, cribs, car seats, high chairs, weapons, or paint.

Proceeds from the rummage sale are divided equally among choir, band and orchestra. The choir’s money is used every year as an operating budget, primarily for purchasing new sheet music. In past years the band and orchestra’s portions have gone toward the purchase of instruments.
