Stillwater Mountain Bike Team - Independent Provider Activity - Grades 7-12

 

Student & Parent/Guardian Information Meeting:

Monday, May 6 | 6:30-8:00 PM | SAHS Auditorium

 

Season Start: August 27, 2019. Optional summer workouts begin on July 1, 2019.

Season End: October 30, 2019.

 

Practices:
After school Monday - Thursday, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Bike maintenance on Mondays with rides from SAHS Tuesday - Thursday. Practices on Tuesday - Thursday are required.

 

Races: Race day during the season will be Saturdays for Middle School and Sundays for High School. Participation in at least one race is required.


Equipment Needed: Off-road capable bike, helmet.

Full Registration Cost: $300.00 + $50.00/race.


Register Dates: April 1 - May 31, 2019

 

Registration Process: The following registration steps are necessary to join the team.

District Registration via Fee Pay - $50.00. Link: https://stillwater.feepay.com/

Team Registration:  $150.00. Link sent once Fee Pay is complete.

NICA Registration (NICA is the governing body of the league) - $100.00. Link sent once Team registration is complete.


Registration Limits: The team size will be limited with past team members having first priority, past team members’ siblings having second priority, and new members on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Grade 12 (Class of 2020):  15
Grade 11 (Class of 2021):  20
Grade 10 (Class of 2022):  30
Grade 09 (Class of 2023):  30
Grade 08 (Class of 2024):  20
Grade 07 (Class of 2025):  10

 

Additional Information: This exciting, fall sport teaches student athletes the skills needed to successfully maneuver through challenging single-track dirt trails, develop self-confidence and build teamwork. These positive, lifelong skills transcend from trail to real-life scenarios as they help build strong bodies, minds and character. Bikes are securely stored on school grounds Monday through Thursday.

Note:
This is an Independent Provider Activity, not a Stillwater Area High School MSHSL Sport. An Independent Provider is defined as an individual, group or organization that provides an opportunity for Stillwater Area High School students to participate in an extra-curricular program. Participants must have a Sports Qualifying Physical Exam on file in the SAHS Activities Office prior to registering on Fee Pay.
